  • Device: When using the service we do collect data about your computer or mobile device including your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, and operating system.

3. Why & How do we use this data about you

  • Use of Registration Information: We will use this Information to make sure that only you can securely get access to the projects you subscribe or are invited to work with. In addition:
    • This registered information about you is also used to display/identify within the project or zone that you performed activities (ie, uploaded a file, approved an item, etc.). This helps you and  other project team members see that information.
    • When you are logged in, this information is displayed in our LiveBar to let other team members know that you are actively logged into the project.
    • Sending statements, invoices, and payment reminders to you, and collecting payments from you;
    • Sending you only DIRECT marketing about the Service; i.e., discount promotions or new feature updates;
    • Sending you email notifications from the Service when you have specific actions that require your attention or that you have specifically requested from the Service.

  • Cookies: We do set and use Cookies in your browser. Cookies are essential in being able to create, sustain, improve, and optimize your experience when using our service, including but not limited to:
    • Keeping you signed in
    • Tracking state to assure the service functionality works
    • Storing your settings and preferences
    • Optimizing load performance of pages in the service
  • The cookies are stored on your computer. You can delete them or reject them, but if you do you cannot use our service.

  • Mobile Location data: On mobile devices you can allow your current location to be accessible to our mobile app. This location data is used to improve many features and functions while using the service inside your projects or zone. For example, it can help you get a list of all items you need to compete around you, it can auto-fill in the location on forms you are filling out, it allows other project or zone team members to see your location to help assign work or items to you.
  • Device data:When using the service we do collect data about your computer or mobile device including your IP address, geographical location, browser type and version, and operating system; This information is used as part of the Service primarily for reporting and support troubleshooting purposes.

4. Where Do we Store the Data we collect about you

  • Registration, Subscription & Service usage data: To use our service you need to Register. Your registration data along with your Service subscription & usage data (Project or Zone) is stored in a secure SQL database in secure Cloud infrastructure that is accessible to ONLY certified members of the Smartapp.com NETOPS & Support team.

  • Service actions Aggregate Non-Identifiable Information: We use aggregate, non-identifiable website traffic information to improve our Website and/or certain Service features (i.e., Suggest & Assist).

  • Service Logs: Our Service Server Logs securely record system information when you view or use the Service.

  • Note:
    • Data that we collect may be stored, processed in, and transferred between any of the countries in which we operate the Service in order to enable us to use the information in accordance with this policy.
    • We will take reasonable technical and organizational precautions to prevent the loss, misuse, or alteration of your personal information.
    • We will store all the personal information you provide on our secure (password- and firewall-protected) servers.
    • All electronic financial transactions entered into through our website are processed directly through STRIPE and are protected by encryption technology. (see below)
    • You acknowledge that the transmission of information over the internet is inherently insecure, and we cannot guarantee the security of data sent over the internet.
    • You are responsible for keeping the password you use for accessing our Service confidential; we will never ask you for your password (except when you log in to our Service).

5. Do we Share it with Third Parties

  • NO. We do NOT sell or disclose to third parties your personal information, except to certain authorized service providers that are required for our service to function, for example:

    • Payment & Credit card processing. We use STRIPE (a global leader in payment processing) to provide online and other methods of automated payment for your subscriptions. In that event we do share the necessary information for them to link your payment account to our Service account so we can assure payment receipts are being processed correctly and service performs without interruption.
    • Hosting providers: We partner with Amazon Web Services (AWS) & Google Cloud (GCP) to provide the very best cloud infrastructure and storage for our service.

6. Would we ever Disclose your information to others?

  • Legal Requirements: We may be required by law to disclose your Information, and we will try to take steps to limit any such disclosure.

  • Change of Ownership: If we are acquired or otherwise sell our business, we will transfer all of the Information to the successor entity. We will try to notify you of any change in ownership or sale by either posting it on our site or by emailing you (at the email address in the system).

  • In order to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights (including providing information to others for the purposes of fraud prevention and reducing credit risk);

  • Application of this Policy: By registering on our Website, you agree to comply with the terms of this Privacy Policy and that we may process your Information.

  • Industry Standard Security: While we use industry standard security measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control, there is no guarantee that our service cannot be compromised.

  • Data Erasure Requests: We respect your peace of mind, if you want us to erase your Registration data that we have stored about you, you can do so by simply sending an email request to the following email address: eraseaccount@smartapp.com
    • Please send the email from the email address that is associated with the registered account you would like us to remove. In addition please attach or send any scan second form of identification. We want to make sure others do not erroneously request others' accounts to be erased, so we do take these requests seriously and will allocate the time and resources to do the best we can to complete this in a timely, secure and safe manner.

  • Privacy Complaints: While we will always do our very best to be transparent we realize you may have complaints or concerns that need to be addressed. Please do the following:
